The Investor's Challenge

Today, even more than in 2010, there are overwhelming reasons why sophisticated financial investors seek investments that deliver not only financially, but also environmentally – this is meaningful to the investors that buy into their renewable funds.

For private investors, however, there are equally compelling reasons to look for impact investments, and particularly those that impact the health of our planet. The challenge is huge, in fact, frightening – and unfortunately it all points to one, very big problem:

Life as we know it is at risk.

If you have children – or are thinking of having children – there’s reason to be alarmed – in fact, seriously alarmed, because:

The world we live in is changing rapidly

What follows below are the conclusions of over 140 expert authors and scientists, 3 years of research and more than 15,000 scientific papers assessing global change over the past 50 years. Their conclusions: this planet, our earth, encompassing the atmosphere, land and sea is in dire need of attention.  Their conclusions, presented in the May 2019 Inter-Governmental Report: IPBES Global Assessment, together with other expert authorities, will shock you, and worse yet, much of what is being reported is irreversible.   What we are leaving the children of tomorrow is a travesty of monumental proportions – we as humankind are in the process of destroying the ecosystems and biodiversity that enable life on this planet.

The 20 + Reasons below paint a dire picture for the next generations, and, without a doubt, our children and our children’s children, unfortunately, will live drastically different lives than the ones we have known.
